This Privacy Policy explains how Chippi (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use Chippi Scout and related products, visit our websites, or interact with our affiliate program.

1. Data we collect

Depending on how you use Chippi, we may process: account details (name, email, company); billing and payment metadata from our payment processor; job and hiring content you upload; candidate application data (email, CV/resume content, interview audio, transcripts, AI-generated summaries and scores, scheduling details); usage and device logs; cookies and similar technologies (including affiliate referral cookies); and affiliate application / partner details (name, email, audience information, website/social profiles, performance metrics).

2. How we use data

We use data to provide and improve the Service, authenticate users, process payments, communicate about accounts and products, attribute affiliate referrals, prevent abuse, and comply with law. AI features process relevant content to generate summaries, scores, and interview experiences for recruiter review.

3. Sharing

We share data with: employers who receive applications for their roles; service providers (hosting, email, payments, AI model providers) under contractual obligations; and authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

4. Retention

We retain account and hiring data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Employers may retain candidate records as part of their hiring workflow. Affiliate records and conversion history are retained for program administration and payouts.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and security, and affiliate cookies (for example chippi_aff) to attribute referrals after someone visits a partner link. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling affiliate cookies may prevent referral attribution.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Candidates should also contact the employer they applied with. Requests can be sent to hello@chippi.io.

7. International transfers

We may process data in countries other than where you live, using appropriate safeguards where required.

8. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the revised version with a new date on this page.
