Affiliate program terms

These Affiliate Program Terms (“Affiliate Terms”) govern participation in the Chippi Scout affiliate / partner program. By applying, accepting an invitation, or using affiliate links or promo codes, you agree to these Affiliate Terms, our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

1. Program overview

Approved partners may promote Chippi Scout using a personal share link and/or promo code. Commission rates, audience discounts, and attribution windows are set per partner at approval (or later by written notice) and shown in your affiliate portal. Public marketing may describe starting commission levels; your approved rate controls.

2. Application and approval

Applying does not guarantee acceptance. We may approve, reject, pause, archive, or terminate partners at our discretion. You must provide accurate audience and contact information.

3. Commission and attribution

Commission is typically calculated on paid Scout package purchases attributed to your referral link and/or promo code, excluding taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and excluded add-ons we designate. Referral attribution for link-based signups generally applies for the window configured for your account (commonly 12 months from signup, unless otherwise set). Promo-code use at checkout may attribute commission when the code is applied, subject to these Terms. We may reverse commissions for refunds, fraud, or self-referrals.

4. Payouts

Commissions are recorded when attributed purchases succeed, then held for 14 days before becoming available for payout (refund and dispute window). The hold applies to both automatic Stripe Connect payouts and manual payouts; we may release it early in limited cases (for example operational exceptions). After that hold, balances count toward the minimum for payout (currently $100, or the threshold shown in your portal). Partners who complete Stripe Connect may receive automatic payouts when eligible; otherwise we pay via the manual details you save (PayPal, Wise, SEPA, or US ACH). Refunds and chargebacks reverse unpaid commissions; if a commission was already paid, we may deduct it from future payouts. You are responsible for taxes on amounts you receive. We may reverse or withhold commissions for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or self-referrals.

5. Promotion rules

You must promote Chippi honestly. Do not make false claims about features, pricing, or hiring outcomes; engage in spam, misleading SEO, or brand bidding that impersonates Chippi; or use paid ads on Chippi trademarks without written permission. You may not offer cash kickbacks or incentives that violate law or platform rules.

6. Relationships

You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of Chippi. You may not bind Chippi contractually.

7. Portal and credentials

Portal access is tied to the email used in your application. Keep login credentials secure. Share links and promo codes are for your promotional use; we may deactivate them if your account is paused, archived, or terminated.

8. Termination

Either party may end participation. On termination we may disable your link and code. Commissions already earned and valid at termination remain subject to our normal review and payout process unless the termination was for fraud or material breach.

9. Changes

We may update these Affiliate Terms. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Material changes may require re-acceptance in the portal.
